What could possibly go wrong by getting all your information about sex from reading romance novels? “True Confessions of a Failed Debutante,” a new solo show written and performed by Beth Ann Bryant-Richards, gives audiences a peek into the mysterious world of Southern small town life juxtaposed against the “real world.” Directed by Jen Ingulli.

Bio

Beth Ann (the Failed Deb) is an award-winning poet, writer and performer. She was born in Heidelberg, Germany, but grew up in a small town in North Carolina. She went to college in Chicago, and stayed there for 35 years. Beth Ann and her family moved to Wilmington, NC in 2017. She has previously appeared at Chicago’s Victory Gardens Theatre, Greenhouse Theatre, and PROP Theatre. She has also done solo work at Chicago’s Live Bait and Lifeline Theatres. She taught college writing for over 20 years and also worked with college students with disabilities. Beth Ann is a member of Wilmington’s Port City Playwrights and the New Hanover County Commission for Women. Click the link to get on the mailing list to learn more about future performances.
